Everyone is nervous before their first Boudoir shoot – even professional models still get nervous! Though your photographer will help you out with dozens of fun poses to try, we have two crucial tips that will steer you on your way to awesome Boudoir posing.
1. Don’t start off staring into the camera! It may seem silly, but you’ll probably want to hold off on staring directly into the camera for your last few shots, when you’ve already been at it for an hour or so and your confidence has built up. There is a certain attitude and emotion needed to really slay that camera glance, and if you’re nervous at the beginning, you probably haven’t got that emotion just yet. Work through poses where you are facing away from the camera, are glancing off into the distance, or your eyes are closed. These will definitely ease you into that sexy camera face-off!
2. Ask to look at the shots in between poses. Because most photographers use digital cameras these days, you can stop after a pose and check to see if you liked it or not. This is an awesome trick if you need that empowering boost of actually seeing yourself on that camera rocking your poses and looking glam, so don’t be shy about asking! Many photographers will offer this up without you asking, but be sure to insist on checking if they don’t. You’ll be floored by how great you look, and the posing inspiration will just start flowing from there.
