Do We Really Need Bras?

Alright, we know what you're thinking -- of course we need bras!!! According to the folks at DNews, however, you may reconsider.

A group of scientists recently released the results of a study of 330 women, and found that physiologically, breasts don't gain anything from being supported. They claim it has no medical benefits, and is purely considered "just a fashion thing." They also stated that wearing a bra may actually contribute to breast sagging, due to ligaments atrophying from such little use (you can't use muscles if they're constantly supported!)

Of course, ligaments can also break down from too much use, such as bouncing around too freely during exercise and strenuous activity, so the scientists still suggest using a bra while working out. However, they stated after some controversy that their sample size may not have been representative of all the breast sizes out there -- consider women with a size D chest, which can add weight up to 20 pounds -- they probably benefit from some support.

Overall, wearing a bra is just a personal choice! Don't feel like it's necessary? Toss those slingshots out! Can't imagine life without support for the girls? Keep on bra-ing!
