Makeup Tips For Blue Eyes
All you blue eyed beauties out there probably already know the potential of your gorgeous, sky-toned eyes, but what you may not know are these great tips to eccentuate those eyes to their full potential!
1. Choose sheer shadows for a natural look. Because your eyes already have that color to make them pop, you usually don't need to go overboard with your shadow colors for an everyday look. Sheer and lighter colored shadows give just enough color to help those baby blues stand out.
2. Choose a matte shadow for a night on the town. For a more dramatic look, matte shadows will go best with your blue eyes to add a bit of glamour without getting too dark. Choose your regular colors, but make sure they're matte for a more powerful effect.
3. Avoid blue shadows! Blue on blue doesn't do much besides making your face look a bit too clownish -- you already have the natural blue, so a shadow in the same color just appears to be too much. However, many with very light blue eyes like the contrast they get with a dark navy shadow, so you can occassionaly break this rule if you choose a completely different hue.
4. Overlap colors. Have some fun with your shadow pallettes, and choose two or three similar colors in different shades to add a lot of depth to your eyes.
5. Wear navy eyeliner. Instead of going with the traditional black or brown liners, a lot of blue-eyed girls opt for a navy liner to bring out the blue in a very subtle way.
6. Mix and match warm hues. Colors like pinks, browns and golds all are the best match for blue eyes, and you can usually find a specific eye-color pallette for your shade at any drugstore.
7. Have fun with purple shadows and liners. For something a bit different, choose a light shade of purple for your shadow, along with a darker purple liner to help your eyes pop. For a bit of sparkle, choose a liner with glitter or shine built in.
