Need a bit of help gauging whether that smile was a sign, or just a polite way of appeasing you and looking for a way to escape to the ladies room? We've got the top 7 ways to tell if a woman is flirting or not. (And men, we gotta say -- if we aren't demonstrating these signs and you're still trying to woo us -- go away and let us have a few drinks at the bar with the girls without being bombarded!)
1. Tons of eye contact. Does she seem to be locking eyes with you more often than anyone else? Go for it.
2. A genuine smile. Try to read her eyes and tell if that smile is 100%, or just baloney.
3. Initiating conversation. If she approaches you first, that's a pretty solid sign that she's into it.
4. Moving into personal space. You can assume that respectable personal space is about a foot and a half away from each other. If she moves in noticably closer, there's your sign.
5. Playing with her hair. Most women with long enough hair have a nervous tick of messing with it while they're anxious. If she's has a bit of healthy nervousness while talking to you, she's most likely wondering if her flirt game is working.
6. She's trying to make you laugh, or laughing at your jokes. Everyone loves a good bit of witty banter -- if you two are going back and forth with a few jokes, you're in the clear.
7. Touching. This should be obvious, but if she makes a point to rest a hand on your knee, brush against your hand, or give any other playful tap, she's interested.
