The Difference Between Boudoir and Glamour Photography

Wanting to do a shoot, but can't decide if you want to go the glamour or boudoir route? Here's a quick run-down of the differences between the two!

Glamour photography usually involves professional models using unique facial and body expressions to create an exciting, visually appealing photograph. These models are generally fully clothed, and the outfit is often a key focus of the picture. Usually used commercially or for advertising, glamour photography aims to highlight a model's face with plenty of makeup and good lighting.

Boudoir photography, on the other hand, aims to capture a nude, half-dressed, or lingerie-clad women's figure in an enticing and sexy way. These shoots usually take place someplace private, as they are supposed to allude to a secrecy between the model and whomever she chooses to share her photographs with.

The line separating boudoir and glamour is a fine one, but mainly, glamour aims to highlight an attractive model and make her more attractive to all, but boudoir aims to highlight the sexuality of a model, and show a side that most will never get to see.

So what do you think? Will you choose boudoir or glamour?
