Breaking the Ice

We love photographer Michelle Ford's tips on how to break the ice at a boudoir shoot! Here are a few things that your photographer will do to help get both of you comfortable.

1. Your photographer may take a before and after photo of you to show the difference after hair and makeup is complete. It's important to note that this is NOT to make you feel "uglier" before the makeup -- it's to show you that you've gone from a beautiful natural look to a beautiful done-up model look! Most clients need that confidence boost to show them that anyone can be a model with the right hair and makeup team.

2. Both you and your photographer have to remember to not let excitement get the best of you -- slow down! The best shots come from talking out a pose and carefully making sure all lighting and background is absolutely perfect.

3. Focusing on the most sensual parts of a client's body is crucial to a perfect shoot. Your photographer may talk with you about what parts of your body you love and would like to show off a bit!

4. Starting with the most amount of clothes is always the best bet at a shoot. This will get you feeling comfortable with your photographer, and it can even make for some really sexy shots as you start to undress. You may even find yourself feeling more sensual, making it easier to give off that effect in your photos.
